102d Army Band Mace

Symbolism
On the dome of the mace is a hexagon surmounted by a star, signifying the home station of the 102d Army Band, Hartford, "New England's rising star."  On the lower portion and on both sides of the mace, the state crest is displayed.  The dancette and wavys at the bottom of the mace symbolize Bear Mountain and the Twin Lakes, two landmarks of Connecticut.
